The Traditional Family has been the foundation of Mankind’s success since day One. Somewhere in our shared archeological past there was a time when HumanBeans became a community, became communal and started caring for each other. The previous “animals in a pack” concept of survival worked to a degree, but to really survive and propagate the Traditional Family was the answer. An extended, Traditional Family was the answer.

The babies were always at risk. Few lived through their first year. Old folks got old, were a burden. The genius of turning the elderly population into baby-sitters was, well, it was pure genius. The elderly that had traveled the years and tears and miles and strife in life offered a gentle, unhurried touch.

No longer struggling, often ill or injured, The Elderly were not in want of much at all. These gentle, elderly hands raised the babies, protected the offspring, kept the home-fires alive, and allowed the youthful generation, the strong, able, healthy population to hunt and gather. To procure and provide.

These ElderlyHands became ManKind’s superpower.

With a stable, constant fire and protected, safe babies ManKind was provided with the opportunity to grow, gain, learn, live, explore, and become the masters of their environment.

I breed, raise and train amazing dogs. I have firm belief in the partnership between ManKind and Canine. Allow me to add a dog to the ancient Family-Fire… Grandma and Grandpa, with a dog or three kept the Family-Fire burning bright as the Moms and Dads killed large animals, dug and gathered and carried home the sustenance that nurtured ManKind’s body and brain.

Time passes. generations, decades, centuries… Towns emerge, Nations rise and fall… The Central Government begins to replace the Traditional Family. The Central Government is the answer for all and everything… sustenance, employment, shelter, education, protection, child acre, elder care… All becomes the responsibility of the State.

The Central Government replaces the Traditional Family. We work for The Central Government and our needs are provided for…The struggle to survive turns into a cushy life. Leisure time, travel, work, money. The Central Government provides for our needs.

Babies (the ones who were not eliminated before birth) go into a creche where they are raised and trained by The State.

The Elderly go into a different creche where they are disregarded, encouraged to end their days.

The Traditional Family is no more. The State has replaced the Traditional Family.

Not a happy ending.
